A Complete Reading Course

This presentation is concerned with the features of a complete reading course in an English as a Foreign Language setting. The major aim of the presentation is to provide a detailed picture of an EFL reading course, from goals to classroom activities. Dr. Day will begin with an introduction to the nature of reading, and then offer a brief overview of the traditional approaches to the teaching of reading in EFL classrooms. He will then focus on the major goals of an EFL reading course, discuss approaches, and highlight some classroom activities to achieve the goals.
